Ugh, Adulting… Am I Right?!

Navigating adulthood can be quite the adventure, filled with exhilarating highs and challenging lows. The transition from high school to college and into the "real world" is both wonderful and terrifying, often leaving us feeling pulled in different directions. Nostalgia, hope, excitement, fear, loneliness. These are all common emotions we face in our 20s, a chapter where life seems to move at lightning speed, while at other times, it feels like it’s barely inching forward.

I've realized that while adulthood brings newfound freedoms that we enjoy, we often lack the structure and guidance to cultivate the essential life skills we truly need. Throughout my life, I've grappled with anxiety and depression, which sometimes blinded me from the beauty of everyday existence. This is an all-too-common struggle for many in our generation. I aspire for this platform to encourage you—just as it does for me—to pause, express gratitude, and begin to embrace the wonder of life, recognizing each day as a precious gift.

This journey we call life presents a spectrum of peaks and valleys that we must learn to navigate with grace. I hope this space serves as a gentle place for anyone entering—or already in—their twenties, offering a platform for reflection on who we are, who we aspire to be, and how we can live our best lives.

A Bit About Me

I want this to be an honest platform, so I’m going to be vulnerable and tell you a bit about me and my story.

When I was just three weeks old, my family faced a devastating accident caused by a drunk driver, which altered the trajectory of our lives in mere seconds. I emerged unscathed, but my parents, particularly my mother, endured severe injuries. My mom’s recovery journey was long, and she has been in a wheelchair ever since. While I am grateful every day to have both parents alive, this incident has brought numerous challenges throughout my life.

Rather than harboring resentment towards the driver and life itself, I’ve chosen to view this experience as a catalyst for growth and purpose in my life. I recognize that my journey, for better or worse, would be dramatically different had that event not occurred. Because of this, I've come to appreciate the struggles that have shaped me into the person I am today.

Through every trial I have faced since, life has continuously shown me that everything happens for a reason. While we may not grasp the purpose of our hardships in the moment, reflection reveals invaluable insights that show purpose.

In recent years, I have dedicated myself to healing and nurturing my spiritual, mental, and physical well-being after experiencing many instances of trauma and adversity. This process has taught me so much about resilience and growth, and I now possess tools to navigate life's inevitable ups and downs. I want to share these insights, empowering you to feel equipped and empowered in the face of challenges. There is incredible peace that comes with knowing you are capable of handling whatever life presents. I pray you are able to find that peace in your life as well.

We all have the power to shape our lives, thoughts, and perspectives. Let’s embrace this journey together and LIV Life Gracefully!

Thank you for joining me and I’m so glad we’re experiencing this journey together!

XOXO,

Liv
